OH, it's been awhile.
SPRING BREAK 2015 was amazing. Jason and myself went to CA for about a week to tour the area, see his aunts/cousins/grandmother (Jason grew up there), and also to get a break from college life. SO WHERE DO I START? Overwhelmed with life, work, school, and friendships one day Jason and I were talking how nice it would be to just go and breathe far away from Beaver Falls. Jason brought up the idea of going to CA to see his relatives that he barley sees. My reply? LET'S GO So we did. Being extremely poor college students we were questioning how we would fund our trip and not go broke at the same time. BUT we were not going to let money stop us. We started brainstorming ways we could make money (around $1,000) in the span of a month (it's possible friends). I brought up the idea of selling clothes that I don't wear anymore for cheap to friends. Selling clothes bought us our plane tickets, SELLING ClOTHES. IT WAS A HIT. Before we knew it we were boarding on plane... We got off our flight, got our rental car, and hit the road to go to Jason's aunts house (where we stayed). An hour later we were starving, at least I know I was. While trying to decide were to eat I saw a sign for PANDA EXPRESS and of course Jason pulled over, this was our first stop in CA 30 minutes later someone broke into our car... Someone broke into our car in the middle of the day and stole the first thing they saw, which happened to be my brown tote. What was in the tote you may ask? $3,000 WORTH OF OUR BELONGINGS. $3,000 INCLUDING: My Mac My NEW Warby Parker glasses My DSLR camera aka MY BABY/ LIFE/EVERYTHING 2 lenses (one of which wasn't even mine, that sucked telling my friend, sorry David Parker) Jasons Ipad Our chargers/ headphones Sunglasses Medicines Francis Chan books (I hope the person who took our stuff learned something good from these) A lot of tears were shed but recently I have been praying for God to break my pride which includes material possessions, at least for me it does. I KNOW, IT SUCKS BUT GOD IS STILL GOOD NO MATTER WHAT. SIDE NOTE: I am writing this on my NEW Mac while wearing my NEW glasses and guess what GOD IS STILL GOOD. We were not going to let material possessions get in our way of enjoying our trip.
